About the Job

We are looking for an ambitious Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic and young team. You will have the exciting opportunity of gaining valuable experience in a startup environment and contribute to reducing 4.4% of global CO emissions. We are looking for a German Italian Spanish or French native speakers with nearnative English skills.

Tasks

Job Role Summary:

You will design enhance and execute Poderos sales strategy focusing on establishing and expanding relationships with customers. This role offers the exciting opportunity to change the core product of billiondollar utility companies refine valuable sales skills in a fastpaced startup environment and dive deep into one of the worlds largest industries.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking handson sales execution and capacity to learn quickly. You will collaborate with and mentor highperforming sales team work with product and marketing departments and strive constantly improve our sales processes lead times and conversion rates.

Requirements

As a Senior Sales Manager you will report directly to the CEO work within gotomarket department and contribute to the development and success of Poderos customer growth and traction. This role will allow you to grow while making a tangible impact on the global push for CO neutrality.

Key Responsibilities

As part of your role at Podero your responsibilities will include:

Sales:

  • Proactively contact customers via phone email and LinkedIn to build and maintain relationships
  • Lead and participate in events and trade fairs to represent Podero and generate new business opportunities
  • Develop and refine sales scripts methods and strategies
  • Serve as the primary contact person for customers throughout the sales process
  • Autonomously negotiate large SaaS deals endtoend
  • Collaborate with marketing operations product and tech teams
  • Coach and mentor junior sales team members

Organization:

  • Independently select and target customer groups
  • Manage the entire sales pipeline within Hubspot
  • Shape and improve sales processes to enhance customer experience

Desired Experience

  • 35 years of practical sales experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success
  • Strong communication skills and interest in applied psychology and/or business
  • Experience in leading and inspiring a sales team
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Leveraging new technologies (like Generative AI) to streamline and improve processes

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated Success of exceptional work in sales (top of your peers)
  • Ambition and motivation to exceed goals continuous drive to improve processes and learn from best practices
  • Resilience and willingness to persist despite rejection
  • Strong leadership and problemsolving abilities
  • Charming competent and convincing communication style and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and independent working style in a (if you choose to) remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with the team
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and common sales tools
  • Ability to structure thought concisely and logically in written and spoken form
  • Capacity for understanding and explaining deeply technical software products
  • Familiarity with the Energy Sector or utilities industry is a plus but not required

Energy suppliers face many challenges in their B2C business including low margins low differentiation of their electricity offers emerging market players unprofitable electricity trading and limited IT resources.

Podero is a software platform for utilities that reduces the energy cost of flexible consumer devices like heat pumps EVs and chargers inverters and home batteries by over 25%. Mission

Our vision is to accelerate towards a world of abundant clean energy How By creating the most profitable trading software for electric devices (Distributed Energy Resources).

We are solving one of the most fundamental problems of the electricity grid caused by the rapid consumer adoption of Distributed Energy Resources like heat pumps EVs and batteries and the simultaneous exponential growth of renewable power generation. Renewables like solar and wind cause spikes in production while Distributed Energy Resources cause spikes in consumption unfortunately mostly at opposite times.

We balance supply and demand in electricity markets by utilizing existing consumer devices as energy storage. Each time we shift the electricity use of consumer devices to match supply and demand our software makes profitable trades benefiting consumers and utilities. This balances the grid which means that more consumers can use CO2friendly Distributed Energy Resources and more renewables can be brought online.
