Job Description

InfraHire is looking for a Service Technician (Diesel/Heavy Duty Trucks) in Fresno CA.
Job Description:

Accurately diagnoses and efficiently completes repairs on assigned tasks ensuring quality and reliability within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with staff to ensure the security of client trucks and property by adhering to postspecific protocols.
  • Diagnoses repair issues for assigned equipment accurately and thoroughly.
  • Prepares and submits a detailed list of required parts and repairs for review and authorization to the Service Advisor.
  • Obtains current price quotes through the Parts Department when necessary.
  • Researches and documents standard repair times for nonoverlapping tasks sharing this information with the Service Advisor.
  • Performs authorized repairs and adjustments with consistency professionalism and attention to quality within established timelines.
  • Coordinates with the Parts Department to acquire necessary components.
  • Tags and saves parts for jobs under warranty or as requested by the customer.
  • Inspects assigned vehicles to identify additional safety or service work that may be required or recommended
  • Identifies the cause of malfunctions and performs necessary repairs.
  • Inspects the assigned vehicle to assess if additional safety or service work is needed or recommended.
  • Records all completed tasks and recommended services on the repair order.
  • Conducts road tests on vehicles when required.
  • Oversees and mentors apprentice or mentee technicians as assigned.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
  • Stays informed and complies with federal state and local regulations including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA RighttoKnow requirements.
  • Utilizes all tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid drivers license and eligibility for insurance coverage (Class A & C).
  • Completion of a twoyear college program or technical school or six months to one year of relevant training and experience or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
