Job Description
Position Title: Network/Telecom Manager
Duration: 4 month contract possible extensions
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Philadelphia PA
Job Summary: The Network/Telecom Manager is responsible for overseeing the design implementation and maintenance of an organizations network and telecommunications systems. This role ensures the efficient and secure operation of all network and telecom infrastructure providing support and guidance to the IT team and collaborating with other departments to meet the organizations communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Management: Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of network hardware and software including routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
- Telecommunications: Manage the organizations telecommunication systems including VoIP PBX and mobile communication solutions.
- Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against cyber threats and ensure data integrity.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network and telecom professionals providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of network and telecom services and equipment.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage the network and telecom budget ensuring costeffective solutions and efficient resource allocation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network and telecom configurations processes and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in network and telecommunications management.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols hardware and software.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA CCNP CompTIA Network) are a plus.
