Job Description
- Will be working on the client Product & Fragrance development team supporting a Senior Product Developer on the client Team
- Days in office include opening boxes of samples preparing trays to be presented in meetings attending meetings to understand the work evaluating formulas and fragrances and providing feedback working through meeting takeaways and execute sample ordering working closely with fragrance houses and vendors on logistics systems work base approvals in SAP/PLM following up on stability and samples with tracking
- Partner with manager on the development of product and fragrances; help brainstorm new ideas
- Ownership over low complexity programs including timeline management and execution with vendors
- Owns communication on programs with fragrance houses and contract manufacturers
- Distribute samples to team and brand for evaluation
- Manage organize and maintain the product closets and libraries
- Responsible for following up with vendors
- Manage the execution and processing of systems workflow
- Assist and support setup for evaluation meetings and presentations
- Provide sampling support for consumer testing
- Join teams to support onsite development (i.e contract fillers fragrance houses)
- Track base & fragrance submissions; participate with team in submission evaluation
- Learn fundamentals of product and fragrance development
- Research market trends for fragrance and pattern for innovative forms
- Data entry and maintenance of competitive information inclusive of databases library and reporting
- Purchase competitive products as directed
- Develop exposure and awareness to brand and relevant competitive store environments
- Update reports and systems accurately
- Gain exposure to the fragrance house and vendor brief process
- Begin to build understanding of endtoend work flow process and development milestones
- Build cross functional relationships with internal peers both across Mast Global and with the brand
- Initiate and maintain professional relationships with external vendors
- Identify continuous learning opportunities for own development
- Introduction to product and fragrance functional fundamentals including vocabulary
- Fragrance and/or product development experience a plus
- SAP experience a plus
- Passion for the beauty industry and previous experience
