Job Description

Job Title: General Liability Associate Attorney
Location: Los Angeles CA
Salary Range: As per Exp.
Job Type: FullTime

About the Job

Client is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join our general liability practice group. This position is available in any of our California office locations: Irvine Los Angeles San Francisco or Walnut Creek.

Client is a nationally renowned litigation law firm specializing in complex civil matters. Our expertise spans diverse areas including toxic torts complex product liability local government general liability and commercial litigation. We pride ourselves on a unified team approach working closely with our clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle local and national accounts throughout the state of California.

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload.

  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.

  • Review and analyze discovery requests and prepare responses.

  • Draft pleadings and other court documents.

  • Prepare court filings and handle service to counsel including efiling.

  • Provide trial preparation and support.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed time records.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas: product liability transportation aviation and premises liability.

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.

  • Proven experience with motion practice and depositions.

  • Demonstrated ability to take lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.

  • Capability to work independently.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Superior research and writing abilities.

  • Ability to analyze complex legal matters.

  • Proficiency in multitasking and working efficiently under pressure.
