Job Summary:
This is a fulltime direct placement position. As a Psychologist you will provide tailored therapeutic interventions developmental assessments and behavioral support to children on the autism spectrum. Your work will involve collaboration with families educators and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized plans that support each childs growth and integration into their environment. This role contributes significantly to empowering children and their families to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Developmental and Psychological Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardized tools to evaluate cognitive emotional behavioral and social functioning in children with autism.
Interpret findings to inform diagnostic decisions and treatment planning.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide individual and family therapy tailored to the unique needs of autistic children employing evidencebased approaches such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy.
Address sensory processing challenges communication barriers and social skill deficits.
Individualized Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with the child s developmental level and family goals.
Monitor progress revise strategies as needed and communicate updates to families and care teams.
Family Education and Support:
Collaboration and Consultation:
Work closely with educators speech therapists occupational therapists and medical professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
Advocate for appropriate educational placements and support services.
Behavioral Support:
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments treatment plans progress notes and communications adhering to ethical and legal standards.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and uphold confidentiality.
