Job Description

Florida Certified Exceptional Needs Education Instructor

Work Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

Caseload: Elementary through High School Students

As an LSB1 Specialist you will support students with diverse learning needs helping them succeed academically and socially. This role involves collaborating with educators administrators and families to develop and implement tailored IEPs that address each student s unique abilities and challenges.

Job Description:

Designing and implementing IEPs to meet the needs of students with exceptionalities providing targeted instruction and support for diverse learning challenges. Collaborating with general education teachers you will adapt the curriculum to ensure inclusivity and regularly assess student progress to refine teaching strategies. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed records communicating effectively with parents and stakeholders and staying current on best practices through professional development.

Requirements

A valid Florida Teaching K12 Certification is required along with a Bachelor s Degree in Special Education or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting children with diverse disabilities and a demonstrated history of success as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar role.
