WHAT YOU LL BE DOING
The Senior Project Architect is responsible for leading and executing the development of all technical aspects and content for complex medium to large or multiple projects. Working alongside other team members including staff architects and designers as well as our inhouse and external engineering disciplines and consultants the Senior Project Architect ensures technical and design excellence and quality deliverables during design and documentation through construction administration.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- As a key member of our multidisciplinary team you must be a collaborative and effective communicator who thrives in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with both internal and clientfacing teams.
- Develops ideas from conceptual design through construction documentation and ensures proper coordination and design input with the other disciplines on the team.
- Leads the integration and development of all technical aspects of architectural documentation.
- Generate complex building codes life safety analyses and architectural project specifications with minimal oversight.
- Collaborate with Project Manager and Architectural Leadership to ensure manpower and staffing needs on assigned projects are met.
- Ownership of and alignment with the architectural budget scope schedule and required deliverables on assigned projects.
- Attend and participate in client presentations and project meetings when required.
- Mentors motivates and inspires other architectural staff and assists in their professional development.
- Build and develop client business and industry relationships including identifying and leading pursuits of new opportunities.
- Grow client base through the delivery of excellent services.
Requirements
Education Qualifications and Work Experience
- Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture from an accredited program or degree in a related field.
- Completion of Professional Licensure is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in a previous Project Architect role. Experience with projects in the Life Sciences industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering architectural projects from concept to completion.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of building codes construction materials and industry best practices.
- Technical proficiency in Revit Bluebeam and MS Office software. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills including speaking writing and graphic communication are a must! This includes being able to speak confidently and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and/or manage an architectural support team including delegating tasks.
- Flexibility to travel (occasionally to moderate depending on project location).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on more than one project at a time.
