Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Columbia South Carolina

Service Setting: Hospital

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: January 20 2025 Ongoing

Clinical Shift Schedule: Option of 5x8hour shifts or 4x10hour shifts

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults

Patient Volume/Census: TBD

Case Mix: Anesthesia

FACILITY INFORMATION

Specialty Backup Available: Physicians and Advanced Practitioners

Support Staff Available: TBD

Reason for Coverage: Backfill FTE

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes for candidates with zero malpractice history

Credentialing Timeline: 90 Days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance

Orientation Rate: $250 flat rate covering hospital modules.

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Anesthesia delivery for a variety of cases

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active state license required

Certifications: CRNA certification

Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Other Qualifications: Flexibility with days of the week for coverage; preference for local candidates or longterm providers with limited flight needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide anesthesia care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver highquality care.

Comply with facility policies and procedures.

Option to take call one night per week and one weekend per month.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Telehealth Experience: Not required

OnCall: Optional one night per week and one weekend per month

Interview Timeline: Candidates will be reviewed promptly

CROSSCREDENTIALING

Coverage required across the Midlands region including Kershaw Columbia Downtown and Columbia Northeast.

Candidates must be flexible to work in multiple locations.
