You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Junior Group Accountant will play a vital role within our Corporate Accounting supporting the reporting function by providing guidance on IFRS standards in relation to acquisitions and group re organizations. This includes collecting and analyzing the necessary information for the valuation of acquired assets and assumed liabilities as well as liaising with internal and external valuators to enable the Purchase Price Allocation process. The Junior Group Accountant will also contribute to the annual impairment testing of goodwill and other acquired intangible assets ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. The Junior Group Accountant will enable the preparation of the Groups annual financial statements working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Duties and Accountabilities
Handling accounting queries during the due diligence process.
Managing postacquisition activities including the preparation and review of opening balance sheets for acquired entities while addressing issues related to changes in accounting policies and estimates.
Assisting in the valuation process for purchase price allocation.
Preparing and reviewing accounting entries for transaction purchase price allocation documenting in clear and consistent manner for stakeholders review.
Collaborating with other teams on structuring and accounting for reorganizations such as mergers asset transfers and spinoffs.
Assisting in providing guidance on the impact of reorganizations on consolidation methods and group reporting ensuring accurate reflection of updated group structures.
Evaluating and determining appropriate accounting treatments for reorganizations ensuring compliance with relevant IFRS standards.
Supporting preparations of annual goodwill impairment tests.
Assisting in the preparation of the Groups annual financial statements with a focus on business combination disclosures and other areas as needed.
Qualifications :
Competencies
Deep knowledge of IFRS with particular focus on IFRS 3
Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to learn new things quickly and hit the ground running
Willingness to work outside of comfort zone
Positive attitude and a team player
Excellent communications skills
Education and Expertise
Qualified Accountant or qualification in progress
Prior work with BIG 4
Excellent excel skills
Fluency in businesslevel English language
Working knowledge of IFS Cloud preferred
Prior work in acquisitive environment preferred
