Job Description
Under the direction/supervision of the clinical team you will perform direct patient services tasks.
Accountabilities:
- Assisting with patient transfer/care patient temperatures weighing and utilizing aseptic techniques
- Accommodation and support services responsibilities including:
- Comprehensive cleaning preparation and disinfection of dialysis machines
- preparation of dialysis prepackages
- Waste removal linen and restock of supplies
- Transporting equipment and supplies with solution and maintenance of a safe environment
Qualifications :
- Personal Support Worker certificate from a recognized Canadian community college
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Current CPR
- Recent related experience with chronically ill patients including knowledge of the complex needs of the dialysis patient
- Must have recent experience in dialysis machine preparation including priming and disinfecting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to meet unit needs
- Ability to work well with team members
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
- Must demonstrate Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
- Excellent attendance punctuality and work record required
- Ability to travel between and work at all Osler sites as required
Additional Information :
Hours: Currently days/evenings 8 & 12 hours including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $30.17 per hour
Maximum: $31.38 per hour
