Position: CSSD Technician
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CSSD Technician to join our clients team. As a CSSD Technician you will be responsible for the proper cleaning sterilization and distribution of medical equipment and supplies. Your attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean disinfect and sterilize medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and standards
Inspect and assemble equipment to ensure proper functioning
Monitor and record sterilization cycles and maintain accurate records
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of sterilization equipment
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient processing of equipment
Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on best practices and new equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a CSSD Technician or in a similar role
Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced and highpressure environment
Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment
Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
