Position Overview:
As a Practitioner in Infection Prevention and Control you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients staff and visitors. You will be responsible for developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures monitoring and controlling the spread of infections and educating healthcare staff on infection prevention best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in accordance with national and international guidelines
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infection control measures and make recommendations for improvement
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential infection risks and take necessary actions to prevent outbreaks
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement infection control plans for specific patient populations
Educate and train healthcare staff on infection prevention and control protocols and procedures
Keep uptodate with the latest developments in infection control practices and implement them in the healthcare setting
Conduct investigations and report on any suspected or confirmed outbreaks of infectious diseases
Liaise with external agencies and authorities to ensure compliance with infection control regulations
Maintain accurate records and reports related to infection control activities
Participate in infection control committees and contribute to the development of infection control policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Nursing Microbiology or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and guidelines
Experience in developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in oncall rotations
Valid license to practice as a healthcare professional
