A Clerical Support Specialist under general supervision of the Client Information Manager scans clinical documents into the electronic record performs transcription of dictation generated by the prescribers and processes requests for clinical records via internal and outside entity requests. A Clerical Support Specialist performs customer service responsibilities including greeting visitors in a welcoming manner notifying staff of consumer arrivals scheduling consumer appointments monitoring visitor access and maintaining security awareness.
A Clerical Support Specialist may perform interoffice deliveries among departments and a variety of other human service agencies in the community may be assigned to or support any team department and/or program. An employee in this class maintains a pleasant appearance of the reception areas answers incoming telephone calls transfers calls to appropriate individuals routes emergency calls appropriately provides answers to inquiries regarding the agencys services and programs and performs other related duties as assigned.
An employee in this class performs generally sedentary work activity requiring the occasional lifting of objects weighing thirtyfive (35) pounds or less.
A Clerical Support Specialist works within the offices and program locations.
Applicants may be subject to a postoffer criminal background check depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such a check is conducted an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check. Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.

The purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list from which to fill present and future vacancies in this classification. For each opening the Department Head has their choice of the candidates who meet the required minimum entrance qualifications. This list remains in effect for three months unless exhausted or extended.
