Job Description
our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technologist to join their team and help them continue to deliver exceptional services to their clients.
As a Senior Technologist you will play a crucial role in the laboratory overseeing the daytoday operations and ensuring that all tests and analyses are carried out accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing a team of technologists and ensuring that they are trained and equipped to perform their duties to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daytoday operations of the laboratory ensuring all tests and analyses are carried out accurately and efficiently
Manage and train a team of technologists providing guidance and support as needed
Develop and implement new testing methods and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment ensuring it is in optimal working condition
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations
Review and interpret test results ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to clients
Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to all health and safety regulations
Stay updated on industry developments and advancements and implement best practices in the laboratory
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry Biology or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures equipment and safety protocols
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed
