Job Description
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charging Operation Specialist to support one of our foreign telecom clients based in Islamabad Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or telecommunications with a solid understanding of GSM architecture and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Business Continuity: Maintain 24x7 business continuity to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Ticket Resolution: Resolve internal and external customer tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Operations and Maintenance (O&M): Ensure O&M activities are performed as per agreed terms and business needs.
- Application and System Performance: Monitor and analyze the performance of applications and systems.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrate leadership skills and work collaboratively as a team player to address operational challenges.
Key Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Telecommunications or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with GSM architecture and understanding of basic call and data flows.
- Knowledge of SQL including query formation syntax and conceptual understanding of SQL joins (LEFT RIGHT OUTER INNER).
- Proficiency in LINUX and UNIX OS including basic commands and directory structure.
- Understanding of cron jobs including types syntax special strings and permissions.
- Experience with shell/bash scripting.
- GSM Knowledge:
- Understanding of GSM network components such as Mobile Station (MS) Base Station System (BSS) and Mobile Switching Center (MSC).
- Knowledge of mobileoriginated and mobileterminated call flows.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Learning: Eagerness to continue learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
