WeCare Medical Specialty Group is a leading provider of innovative healthcare solutions dedicated to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the healthcare experience. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product & Privacy Counsel to join our growing legal team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and launch of cuttingedge healthcare products while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and counsel on a wide range of product development and lifecycle issues including:
Product strategy and roadmap development
Data privacy and security compliance (e.g. HIPAA CCPA GDPR)
Product liability and risk mitigation
Software licensing and intellectual property protection
Regulatory compliance (e.g. FDA CMS)
Contract negotiation and drafting (e.g. vendor agreements service agreements)
Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging legal and regulatory issues impacting the healthcare industry.
Advise on the development and implementation of data privacy policies procedures and training programs.
Assist with the investigation and resolution of data privacy incidents.
Represent the company in legal and regulatory proceedings as needed.
Stay abreast of the latest legal and regulatory developments in the healthcare industry.
Collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams including product management engineering and marketing.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience with a strong preference for experience in the healthcare industry.
Experience with data privacy and security law including HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
Experience with product development and lifecycle management.
Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills (both written and oral).
Excellent research and drafting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FDA regulations and guidance.
Experience with healthcare technology and digital health.
Experience with contract negotiations and drafting.
Experience with legal project management.
