About the Role
The Nurse accompanies clients during travel typically when they require medical monitoring or assistance en route such as on a flight. The primary responsibility is to ensure the patients safety and comfort throughout the journey.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conducting pretravel evaluations to understand the patients medical condition needs and any potential risks during the journey.
- Medical Monitoring: Continuously monitoring the patients vital signs symptoms and overall condition to ensure stability during travel.
- Administering Care: Providing necessary medical care such as administering medications oxygen or other treatments required to manage the patients condition.
- Emergency Response: Being prepared to handle medical emergencies including performing CPR or other lifesaving interventions if needed.
- Comfort and Support: Ensuring the patient is comfortable addressing their concerns and providing emotional support throughout the journey.
- Medical Supplies and Equipment: Ensuring all medical supplies and equipment are adequate and in proper working condition for the journey.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion in matters involving patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board
- Must have vaild BCLS and AED certifications
- At least 58 years of relevant working experience in the related field (Accident & Emergencies Department)
- Holding a passport with at least 6 months of validity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate patient and dedicated to providing highquality care
