Job Description
GLG Vets is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join a wellestablished practice in Hertfordshire. This is a fulltime role with a varied caseload and the opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive environment.
Location: HertfordshireFulltime: 40 hours per week (4 days 1 in 4 weekends and OOH)
Salary: Up to 75000 (dependent on experience) plus benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver highquality veterinary care to a range of cases with the opportunity to manage complex procedures and surgeries.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of vets and support staff providing guidance and support.
- Ensure exceptional standards of patient care and client communication.
- Be an active participant in the ongoing development of the practice contributing to its success and growth.
- Participate in the 1 in 4 weekends and oncall (OOH) rota.
Ideal Candidate:
- RCVS registered and ideally a minimum of 5 years experience as a veterinary surgeon.
- Proficient in surgery diagnostics and emergency medicine.
- A passion for mentoring junior staff and providing a high level of client care.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
