Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Passenger Attendant on a 6.5month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Hours per week: 25
Rate of Pay: 16.00 20.57 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- To act as an attendant to customers on Passenger Services passenger carrying vehicles
- Assist in determining the appropriate safety criteria which meets each individuals needs within the contract specification and costings.
- To collect and dropoff customers within the scope of the contract specification either within or outside the borough
- To assist the driver in ensuring that the vehicle(s) is valeted and carries appropriate equipment (e.g. fire extinguisher first aid kit hygiene packs safety hammer etc) and meets at least the minimum legal requirement for vehicle condition.
- To ensure all wheelchairs and passengers are properly secured all seat belts where practicable are being used and that all safety devices are in use. To operate TailLift or ancillary equipment.
Qualifications:
- Basic Literacy and Numeracy Skills
- Experience of working with people with special needs either paid or voluntary would be desirable
- Ability to be supportive to customers accessing services from Passenger Services.
