We are seeking a CAD Designer specializing in mechanical building systems for a commercial construction firm located in Devens MA. This role is primarily focused on developing and managing detailed 3D Revit models and technical drawings for HVAC Refrigeration Plumbing and Process Piping systems within commercial building projects. Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed 3D models and technical drawings in Revit for HVAC Refrigeration Plumbing and Process Piping systems
- Create update and manage BIM models to ensure coordination across mechanical electrical structural and architectural disciplines
- Perform clash detection using Revit and resolve design conflicts in collaboration with project stakeholders
- Interpret engineering sketches blueprints and specifications to create accurate design layouts
- Revise designs based on client feedback changes and field conditions
- Conduct field visits to gather measurements and verify existing conditions
- Maintain drawing files BIM models and documentation according to company standards
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and best practices
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to incorporate equipment specifications into designs
- Support fabrication and installation teams by providing clear drawings
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in designing HVAC Refrigeration Plumbing or Process Piping systems for commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of BIM processes and workflows
- Understanding of building codes mechanical systems and construction practices
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Engineering Technology or a related field
