Position Overview:
The Operations Manager Planning & Forecasting will lead critical business processes encompassing financial forecasting demand and supply planning project management and operational efficiency. The primary focus of this role is on planning forecasting and exceptional Excel expertise ensuring seamless operations and aligning execution with strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical background advanced problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to managing workflows and resolving challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain the yearly financial forecast establishing topline and bottomline goals.
- Break down yearly goals into monthly and daily forecasts predicting key metrics like marketing spend revenue and contribution margin.
- Conduct demand and supply planning to meet sales targets and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Lead weekly performance reviews with the Head of Marketing to analyze variances adjust forecasts and strategize inventory liquidation or marketing spends as needed.
- Create and manage financial tools including:
- Master Purchase Order (PO) Tracking Sheet
- COGS Master Sheet
- BOM Pricing Sheets
- S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Sheet
- Conduct monthly financial forecast reviews comparing actual performance against goals to assess variances and refine strategies.
Project Management:
- Oversee purchase orders (POs) ensuring timely creation placement and alignment with demand and supply needs.
- Manage supplier relationships including weekly communication to:
- Track production timelines.
- Address production issues.
- Set up new product SKUs correctly.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders to ensure smooth shipments and timely arrivals.
- Utilize financial software (e.g. Finaloop) for bill input and payment categorization.
- Manage wholesale orders ensuring accurate processing shipment and secure handling of sensitive payment information.
- Coordinate Amazon FBA inventory to maintain operational efficiency.
New Product Management:
- Set up new SKUs in 3PL systems Shopify and other platforms as required.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations financial management or a related role.
- Proven expertise in advanced Excel including building and managing complex forecasting models.
- Experience in demand planning supply chain management and sales forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial tools such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive and solutionsoriented mindset.
