Asset Manager
Location: Buffalo Grove IL (Onsite MondayFriday 8 AM 5 PM)
Experience Level: MidSenior (58 Years)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Asset Manager with 5 years of experience in managing or operating generation assets within North American ISOs and 2 years of experience with NERC compliance. This role focuses on optimizing the financial contractual and regulatory aspects of energy assets including renewable energy and biofuel pellet facilities.
This is an onsite position in Buffalo Grove IL offering an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize financial contractual and regulatory aspects of a diverse portfolio of energy assets including a biofuel pellet facility.
- Collaborate with corporate teams plant personnel partners service providers Independent System Operators customers and consultants.
- Support the backend settlement process for energy capacity sales and environmental emission transactions.
- Develop and manage project budgets to meet organizational financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with market rules and regulations governing North American energy transactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5 years managing or operating generation assets in North American ISOs.
- 2 years of NERC compliance experience in a management role or as a subject matter expert.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent quantitative analytical experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including analytical functions.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills preferably energy and fuel marketsrelated.
- Basic understanding of energy capacity and emission markets.
- Familiarity with North American market rules for physical and financial energy transactions.
- Proven ability to develop and manage project budgets effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in energy or fuel markets.
- Understanding of physical and financial electricity congestion natural gas emissions and market design.
- Familiarity with North American market rules and their impact on transactions.
