We are currently seeking a qualified Document Controller to join our Energy team based out of Calgary AB. The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Document Control Chief with various projects through team coordination project support and collaborative customer relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supporting all project participants in complying with procedures and using the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to capture project documents.
- Handling uploading and managing engineering contractor/vendor and client documents and project emails in the EDMS including collection and accurate attribution of metadata.
- Auditing and reviewing the accuracy of document management attributes in the EDMS.
- Efficient management of document number and equipment tag reservations both internally and externally controlled.
- Developing and providing reports from the EDMS such as document status engineering progress measurement review cycles and supporting internal document reviews.
- Providing document management support to project participants including support to external users (vendors contractors consultants and client).
- Assisting in training other document controllers or personnel as required.
- Additional related duties as required.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Document Controller in an EPC or Client setting.
- Previous document control experience in an engineering project or data management environment using an Electronic Document Management system (EDMS).
- Advanced skills in MS Outlook MS Office (including Word Excel SharePoint Visio) Adobe Acrobat Bluebeam and demonstrated ability to learn other software tools.
- Proven communication/interpersonal skills to build relationships with the immediate and remote team members.
- Possesses excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and organize as well as the versatility to reprioritize tasks as things arise.
- Previous experience with various document management systems and engineering processes.
