As Specialist Investor Relations you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Refine and maintain processes for monitoring detailed analysts forecasts. Regularly track consensus and analyse complex financial models to determine opportunities to improve guidance and communication of the companys performance.
- Support the investor relations principal on detailed modelling queries in line with JSE and King IV disclosure requirements ensuring consistent accurate communication and appropriate confidentiality.
- Build update and present critical analyses for senior management Board members and other stakeholders.
- Prepare Annual and Interim results reporting and presentations as well as other announcements and presentations.
- Review peer presentations and press releases to identify opportunities to improve messaging and disclosures including addressing investor concerns.
- Build a database summarising insight into peer strategy and performance for internal reporting to executive leadership.
- Contribute to developing and delivering the quarterly production report supporting analysis and ensuring press release commentaries align with external messaging.
- Prepare annual investor programme for reporting roadshows conferences and other investor engagements.
- Organize and prepare investor roadshows shareholder meetings and other events. This includes identifying new prospective investors and assisting with developing the investors models of the company and the roadshow briefing book.
- Draft comprehensive responses to shareholder letters and ESG due diligence queries addressing shareholder concerns.
- Develop and prepare content for subjectspecific seminars aimed at external stakeholders showcasing the companys strategic operational financial and ESG performance.
- Facilitate the preparation of the IR Board Report and Executive Report providing actionable insights on investor priorities and concerns sellside valuations and feedback.
- Ensure timely updates to the investor relations website keeping information relevant and easily accessible.
This role is in the Finance (FIN) at a Band 6 level reporting to the Principal Investor Relations.
Qualifications :
- Grade 12
- A relevant Bachelors degree in Commerce or Finance/Investment
- Honours degree in Finance/Accounting CA (SA)
- CFA degree (CFA Institute) would be an advantage
- SA Drivers Licence
Experience
- 68 years in a financial or analytical role within the resources industry understanding market dynamics commodity cycles and economic factors that impact the resources sector.
- Expertise in gathering interpreting and analysing complex data sets from diverse sources including financial statements industry reports and economic forecasts.
- Knowledge of investment appraisal techniques such as Net Present Value (NPV) Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and payback period.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements particularly those relevant to listed companies including IFRS JSE Listing Requirements and King IV Governance. Knowledge of ESG reporting requirements would be considered an advantage.
