Job Description

What will you be doing 

As a Mechanical Engineer you will join a team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Create and optimize designs for various types of heat exchangers (e.g. shellandtube plate finned) to meet specific thermal and mechanical requirements.
  • Diagnose and solve operational issues related to heat exchangers such as fouling pressure drop or reduced efficiency.
  • Oversee heat exchanger projects from concept to installation coordinating with vendors suppliers and other engineering teams.

Who are we looking for 

  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems propose innovative solutions and ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.

Qualifications :

Experience skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in mechanical engineering process engineering and thermal engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in relevant design and simulation tools (e.g. AutoCAD Solidworks Catia).
  • Knowledge of grid codes standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Fluency in english
