Job Description
Ability Action Australia puts people at the heart of what we do both our participants and our team. We are open to discussions with Occupational Therapists with all levels of experience that enjoy the flexibility of working in the community.
Your day will include:
- Managing an allocated caseload and completing therapeutic services in a timely manner
- Assessing participants emotional psychological cognitive developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
- Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
- Providing therapeutic interventions that are evidencebased and help participants get more out of life
- Providing support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home school work and residential facilities
- Recommending provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and to promote independence
- Maintaining awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
- A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
