Job Description
Working hours are Tuesday Saturday. 14:00 22:00.
Please note no previous experience in a laboratory is required full training is provided. We are keen to speak with people who are used to working in a fast paced environment and have a willingness to learn new skills.
As a Laboratory Technician you will perform routine tasks in the water testing laboratory. These tasks will support with the preparation analysis & recording of samples.
- Preparation and analysis of samples utilising good laboratory practice.
- Ensure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures including attention to temperature control storage and maintenance of sample integrity.
- Maintenance of accurate and system records as detailed in the quality procedures.
- Work with Team Leader Laboratory Manager to achieve daily targets ensuring client turnaround time is met.
- Report any anomalies or concerns direct to your line leader.
- Ensure client contact is conducted in a professional manner and any client queries are dealt with or notified to your line leader.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Maintenance of laboratory fittings and equipment as directed.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as required
Qualifications :
- Experience in a fastpaced working environment and working under pressure would be beneficial.
- Computer literate.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Good communication skills and a team player.
