Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive Financial Auditor to oversee our financial audits and ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). This is a fulltime remote position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial oversight of a growing tech company while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Management: Conduct internal and external audits ensuring all financial activities align with US GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Review and analyze financial statements reports and balance sheets for accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Compliance Verification: Ensure all financial practices comply with local state and federal regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess areas of financial risk to the organization.
- Control Systems: Recommend and implement improvements to internal control systems to prevent errors and fraud.
- Audit Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports and documentation for review by management and external auditors.
- Fraud Detection: Investigate any discrepancies or irregularities in financial records.
- Process Improvement: Suggest enhancements to financial processes and audit methodologies for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Training and Support: Educate staff on accounting policies procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Financial Auditor with a deep understanding of US GAAP.
- Proficiency in auditrelated software tools and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in audit work.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
- Knowledge of audit procedures standards and regulations.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required; certification (e.g. CPA CIA) is highly preferred.
- Experience with financial software like QuickBooks Online is advantageous.
