Job Description
Are you an experienced HGV Mechanic looking to join a growing progressive company that has a high level of commitment to safety and service In this role the successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. You will be responsible for servicing maintaining diagnostics and repair work on our HGV fleet. Some of your duties will include:
- Servicing and planned safety inspections.
- MOT Preparation.
- Diagnose faults.
- Call out for breakdowns on site and on the road when required.
- Working closely with the team and helping maintain our fleet of Scania DAF Man Trucks and refrigerated and flat trailers.
Essential Criteria:
- Be a timeserved mechanic
- Have previous experience of working on plant machinery and HGV/LGV fleets specifically DAF Scania Man trucks and Schmitz trailers with SAF and BPW axles
- Have a full driving licence
- Good awareness of health and safety requirements
