Responsibilities:
Develop and Optimize DDoS Tools:

Design and build DDoS tools for testing and assessing system resilience.

Create scenarios to simulate DDoS attacks using common methods (HTTP flood SYN flood UDP amplification DNS amplification Layer 7 attacks etc.).

Ensure tools comply with security standards and are used only in legal testing environments.
Monitor and Detect DDoS Attacks:

Monitor network traffic and identify unusual patterns.

Use traffic analysis tools to detect potential DDoS attacks.
Implement DDoS Mitigation Measures:

Install and configure DDoS mitigation solutions such as firewalls CDNs and load balancers.

Apply protective measures like rate limiting IP filtering and traffic limiting policies.
Respond to Attacks:
-
Coordinate with stakeholders to respond quickly when the system is under attack.

Adjust and optimize protective measures in realtime to prevent damage.
Evaluate and Improve Systems:
-
Conduct regular security assessments to evaluate defenses against attacks.

Propose and implement new technologies and security processes to enhance attack prevention capabilities.
MustHave Requirements:
Experience and Knowledge:
-
At least 23 years of experience in cybersecurity particularly in attack and defense strategies.

Skills in developing DDoS tools or conducting security testing.
Ability to work in teams and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Indepth understanding of DDoS attacks and attack types such as volumetric application layer DDoS DNS amplification SYN flood HTTP flood etc.

Experience with DDoS mitigation solutions like Cloudflare Akamai Arbor Radware or similar.

Proficient in using network monitoring tools like Wireshark Zabbix Grafana.
Technical Skills:
-
Proficient in programming languages (Python C Go or similar) for developing attack/testing tools.

Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP DNS HTTP/HTTPS).
- Experience with security systems like firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Security certifications such as CEH CCNA Security CISSP or equivalent are a plus.

We recognize that remote work is a priority for many candidates. However we have previously attempted remote arrangements and faced challenges due to tight schedules and the high level of collaboration required.
At this time we are unable to offer remote options. All candidates must be based in Bangkok to begin their roles.
