Position : Financial Operations Lead
Working Hours : 45 hours overlap with Pacific T ime
Salary Range : $1800$2200/month

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Operations Lead (FinOps Lead) to join our unique nontraditional company. This is an opportunity to go beyond typical accounting roles where you will oversee financial processes provide critical insights to our fastgrowing venturebacked clients and help shape their business strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Lead MonthEnd Close Processes:
- Oversee journal entries reconciliation and financial reporting for timely and accurate financial results.
- Establish Accounting Policies:
- Develop formal accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP for our clients.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 in financial reporting.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with clients providing clear actionable financial insights.
- Data Storytelling:
- Craft compelling narratives using financial data to guide decisionmaking and strategy.
- A/R and A/P Management:
- Manage customer invoices and bills to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Corporate Duties:
- Perform financial operations for the company in addition to servicing our clients.
Preferred Experience:
- Consulting or Agency Background:
- Experience working in a consulting or agency capacity is preferred.
- ClientFacing Skills:
- Comfortable engaging with clients presenting financial insights and addressing inquiries.
Requirements:
- Availability to work between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM United States Central Time.
- 35 years experience handling books for tech companies
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with ASC 606.
- Proven experience managing monthend close processes.
- Chartered Accountants with IFRS experience considered
- Proficiency with accounting tools such as QBO Gusto Stripe and Mercury along with familiarity with FP&A tools (e.g. Datarails LiveFlow Coefficient or Causal).
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with clients and crossfunctional teams.
Bonus Points:
- Experience writing Python scripts to automate financial processes and bookkeeping tasks.
- Proficiency in SQL for financial data analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas pivot tables and macros.
- Familiarity with APIs for QBO Mercury etc.
