Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a focus on the sneaker category to drive the growth and expansion of our platform in the Japanese market. This role requires a deep understanding of the Japanese market dynamics and a passion for footwear and fashion trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Seller & Brand Recruitment: Identify and recruit competitive sellers and brands that align with platform goals. Guide sellers to join and help them rapidly expand their product offerings contributing to category growth.
- Market & Industry Insights: Monitor and analyze the Japanese sneaker market including industry characteristics distribution systems and key competitors. Use these insights to identify opportunities for growth and drive strategic decisions.
- CrossBorder ECommerce Expertise: Understand and navigate the complexities of crossborder ecommerce. Lead innovative projects turning new ideas into successful initiatives (01 execution).
- Seller Support & Optimization: Work with sellers to address operational challenges and create solutions to improve their experience. Continuously implement optimizations that enhance platform usability and customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work crossfunctionally with other departments to drive the success of sneaker category initiatives improving overall business performance and user experience.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree or higher.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in crossborder ecommerce platforms or brand industries with a preference for footwear experience.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) and strong knowledge of Japanese fashion culture.
- Project Management: Proven track record in executing 01 projects with measurable success.
- Skills: Strong analytical ability project management skills and a proactive resultsdriven mindset. Excellent communication skills and experience working with crossfunctional teams.
- DataDriven: Strong market intuition with the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive business strategies.
