Vacant position for a Postdoctoral researcher focused on nanopharmacology applied to chemoresistant tumours within the group on Head and neck cancer: biomedical research in tumour stem cells. More information can be found here:
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Biological Sciences Biomedicine Pharmacy or related fields/Doctorate in Genetics Biomedicine Pharmacy or related fields
- Specific/additional training: Accreditation research staff for handling experimental animals
- Fluency in Spanish and English (business level)

Required:
- At least 5 years of experience working in cell and molecular biology techniques flow cytometry immunohistochemistry and microscopy. Demonstrable experience in the study of molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in the acquisition of resistance to oncological therapies. Experience working with experimental animals (mice).
- Experience in the design and writing of scientific papers in JCRindexed journals (at least 10 publications and 3 as lead author). Experience as a director of master and doctoral students. Participation in national/international projects as research staff or PI.
- Training in in vitro and in vivo assays with drugs encapsulated in nanoparticles
- Knowledge of autophagy and cell apoptosis

- Ability to work both autonomously and in work teams.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- In vitro and in vivo experiments related to the efficacy of drugs encapsulated in nanoparticles.
- Support in the coordination of national and international projects
- Support in the development of new project applications
- Design and writing of scientific articles
- Training activities and codirection of degree masters and PhD students
- Participation in scientific divulgation activities
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: 01/02/2025
- Gross annual salary: 32.65000 Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale).
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
