Head of Finance IT Industry

Position Overview: The Head of Finance will report directly to the group Chairman and CEO. The role will oversee all financial aspects of the group managing a small family office as part of the role. This role will be in Houston TX and will require onsite work a few days per week. This will be a handson role; the daily activities in this role will be diverse and you will be able to make an impact.

The ideal candidate will seek a handson problemsolving role and have a strong background in finance and legal knowledge and significant experience in software technology franchising retail and real estate. This individual will be responsible for strategic financial planning budgeting financial reporting and deal negotiations playing a key role in decisionmaking at the executive level. This role has full endtoend accountability for finance in the US and India.

Required skills: FP&A budgeting controllership and strategic advisory.

Extensive leadership experience in financial strategy budgeting forecasting and team management across multiple industries.

Proven legal knowledge particularly in deal negotiations compliance and contract management.

Handson experience in managing global financial operations with familiarity in real estate franchising or retail sectors and proficiency in relevant financial software.

• FP&A: Financial Planning and Analysis Financial modeling scenario analysis and aligning KPIs with business goals.
• Budgeting: Budget creation variance analysis and managing budget overruns.
• Controllership: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards financial controls and internal audits.
• Strategic Advisory: Providing insights to guide business decisions and influencing financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that support the companys growth objectives and ensure sustainability.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage annual budgets forecasting financial performance and monitoring variances.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow liquidity and working capital ensuring optimal cash management across all entities.
• Investment Oversight: Manage and evaluate investment opportunities related to real estate and franchise development.
• Accounting Operations: Supervise accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable payroll and general ledger management.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards managing financial risk and auditing processes.
• Legal Knowledge: Leverage strong legal expertise to negotiate deals and contracts ensuring favorable terms and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small finance team fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Coordinate information with CPA and global team effectively.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive leadership and provide insights to support strategic decisionmaking.
• Family Office Management: Oversee the financial operations of the family office including investment management and financial planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Law or related field.
• 7 years of experience in finance with a focus on software technology franchising retail and real estate.
• Strong legal knowledge particularly in deal negotiations and compliance.
• Proven experience in budgeting forecasting and financial analysis.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
• Proficient in financial software and tools; experience with Quickbooks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
