Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in audit review and compilation engagements including all aspects of fieldwork and wrapup activities
- Work on audits at client locations primarily in the Central Ohio area in a teambased environment
- Being proficient in accounting standards to produce clear wellstructured and effective audit documentation
- Gain an understanding of the flow of audit engagements including substantive testing procedures for each account or classification in the financial statements
- Conduct audit engagements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
- Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances prepare and adjust workpapers from clients trial balance
- Analyze financial records for variances and provide explanations
- Identify and communicate audit issues technical matters and improvement opportunities to resolve client issues discovered during the audit
- Research accounting issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
- Excellent time management analytical interpersonal oral and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
- Strong organizational skill and attention to detail
- Dedicated to superior client service
- Prior work experience (up to 2 years) as an auditor at a public accounting firm is valued but not required
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office software programs along with a foundational understanding of AI concepts with a strong capability to identify problems where AI could be applied.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
