Land Survey Manager About The Job As a Land Surveyor with company you will be responsible for the direct oversight and management of field and office work for various types of survey and engineering related projects throughout Illinois and Eastern Iowa. These tasks will include but not be limited to the following:
- Perform preliminary research in office and at the courthouse in preparation for the survey project.
- Compute land survey boundaries and prepare staking files for construction layout projects.
- Preparation/review of plats of survey including topographic surveys boundary surveys subdivisions and ALTA surveys.
- Oversight/management/scheduling of survey field crews.
- Effectively communicate survey results to clients and project managers.
- Organization and management of survey field books records and files.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and proposals.
- Assist Corporate Land Survey Manger and other project managers as required.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible surveying/management experience.
- Experience performing boundary surveys ALTA/NSPS surveys FEMA surveys topographic surveys and construction layout.
- Expertise with Trimble GPS and Robotic survey equipment.
- Experience with AutoCAD software (Civil 3D experience preferred)
- Professional Land Surveyor license in the State of Illinois (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire).
- Clean drivers license and the ability to travel on an asneeded basis.
