Summary: The CNC Helper is responsible for the doors that come from the machine and to assist the CNC Operator to meet daily production targets.
Responsibilities:
- Works directly with the operator stacking and slip sheeting of the doors coming off the line.
- Removes and disposes of cutout debris.
- Runs from schedule.
- Coordinates hot rush / remake demands.
- Verifies correct materials are being used.
- Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.
- Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor leads and/or to safety.
- Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.
- Meets quality standards for the line.
- Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
- Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements rules and regulations.
- Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
- Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to read and write in English preferred
- Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication and division. Plus knowledge of fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.
- Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule format.
- Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
- Good hand/eye coordination
