Job Description

Summary:

The Quality Manager manages plant quality systems ensures timely response to customer feedback and complaints and identifies/aligns synergies for quality control. serves as the main liaison between all customers and the paper manufacturing facility production team to address customer concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for product quality for the Waco TX paper manufacturing facility.
  • Research and respond to customer claims in a timely manner to prevent aged claims.
  • Participate in customer visits as needed.
  • Create and manage trial planning within the facility and maintain records within the trial log.
  • Regularly review and maintain the FDA approved chemical list and update the document control system.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings.
  • Manage job assignments and training plans.
  • Participate in lab activities and reporting.
  • Have frequent interaction with the Company Sales and Corporate Customer Technical Services.
  • Manage Technical Lab activities.

Qualifications/Role Expectations:

  • 57 years quality manufacturing experience including 3 years of leadership exp.
  • Four year technical degree.
  • Paper/Packaging industry experience a must.
  • Experience within a test lab environment.
  • A SafetyFirst mindset to promote and support a safe workplace.
  • To travel as needed to customers.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • To participate in Oncall/weekend duty rotation.
  • Knowledge of printing press runnability.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results by developing your team.
  • The ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety quality productivity cost control and employee relations.
  • To have quality orientation and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities.
