Job Description
Job summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning by performing tasks and duties associated with the maintenance and care of district facilities equipment and grounds.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
- Perform general housekeeping tasks to include dust mopping classrooms and hallway floors stripping and sealing resilient and hard surface floors washing windows walls lockers.
- Vacumn all carpeted areas of the building with Back Pack upright or space vacuums. Clean and disinfect restrooms empty trash and recycle bins.
- Set up and take down equipment e.g. tables chairs band shell etc.
- Respond to questions regarding facility usage watch for vandalism behavior or unauthorized individuals in building.
- Perform other duties as required or directed by appropriate supervisors.
Minimum qualifications include:
- High School diploma or GED
Knowledge skills and abilities include:
- Computer skills including proper use of email communication
- Knowledge of all safety precautions applicable to trade.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials
- Caring for and repairing facilities and equipment.
- Working with the principal and building staff.
- Responding effectively to student staff and community needs.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Using problem solving techniques.
- Demonstrating effective written and oral communication skills.
- Maintaining accurate/current records.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Helping taking instructions and exchanging information.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Training or experience cleaning and maintaining a commercial facility desired
- Minnesota State Boiler Specialist license preferred.
Salary: View salary grids on Pages 11 13 Section 1. of the Custodial Contract Agreement
ROP $17.91/hour
