Job Description
Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Amsterdam Netherlands
Employment Type: FullTime (SOW)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in data engineering with a strong focus on migration activities advanced SQL programming and handson experience with ETL tools. You will work on designing and implementing robust data pipelines and solutions to support our businesss growing data needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute data migration projects ensuring accuracy security and efficiency.
- Design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows to support diverse business requirements.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and understand data processing needs.
- Optimize database systems using advanced SQL programming techniques to improve performance.
- Ensure the data architecture aligns with business goals and complies with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data integration and processing.
Requirements
Primary Skills Required:
- Senior Data Engineering Expertise:
- Proven experience in data engineering with a strong background in migration activities.
- SQL Proficiency:
- Advanced SQL programming skills with practical handson experience.
- ETL Tools:
- Indepth knowledge and experience with any standard ETL tools (e.g. Informatica Talend SSIS or equivalent).
Secondary Skills (Nice to Have):
- Azure Fundamentals:
- Basic or advanced knowledge of Azure cloud technologies.
- TCS BITS Tool:
- Experience with the TCS BITS tool is a significant advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or a related field.
- 7 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data modelling data integration and pipeline architecture.
