Job Description
As the AU Education Support Officer you will be responsible for a range of key tasks designed to ensure the smooth delivery of educational programs and resources. The daily responsibilities will include:
Developing and Contextualizing Educational Resources:
- Create revise and tailor educational resources to meet the specific needs of the curriculum and the learners.
Providing Administrative Support to Teachers:
- Assist teaching staff with various administrative tasks to ensure effective course delivery and smooth operations.
Offering Student Support:
- Provide coursespecific or subject matterspecific assistance to students supporting their learning journey and addressing any concerns they may have.
Coordinating with the Teaching Delivery Team:
- Collaborate closely with the teaching team to ensure consistency and alignment in course delivery and to address any operational challenges.
Preparing and Distributing Update Reports:
- Prepare and send comprehensive reports after each delivery block including details on covered content attendance assessment progress and upcoming topics for both employers and students.
Reviewing and Updating Training Products on the LMS:
- Ensure training products on the Learning Management System (LMS) are regularly updated to meet quality standards and enhance the learning experience.
Writing and Updating Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and revise policy and procedure documents as well as create quick reference guides (QRGs) with clear visually supported instructions.
Assisting in Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Contribute to ongoing initiatives aimed at improving educational processes materials and student outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 13 years of experience as an AU Education Support professional.
- TAE Qualification (or an assessment skill set).
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle to manage and update educational content.
- Experience with Learning Design Software such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate for creating engaging interactive learning materials.
- Familiarity with the Training.gov.au (TGA) Website for managing qualifications and training package compliance.
- Experience with Digital Task Workflow Systems like Kanban boards or other team management software for tracking tasks and project progress.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook OneNote) to create manage and organize educational and administrative documents.
- Professional Written Communication Skills for creating clear concise documentation reports and email correspondence.
- Quality Customer Service Skills to interact with students staff and employers in a helpful professional manner.
- Proficiency with MS Windows for daytoday operations and managing educational tasks.
- Experience with CRM Systems preferably MS Dynamics 365 for managing internal processes and communication.
- Experience in Educational Content Development or Instructional Design.
- Familiarity with Online Learning Trends and best practices in digital education delivery.
