Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Neurocritical Care NP

Specialty/Dept: Cognitive Neurology

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Wethersfield CT

Service Setting: Inpatient

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: March 24 2025 September 24 2025

Clinical Shift Schedule: 34 Night shifts/week; (6:30 PM 7:30 AM/8:00 AM) 13hr 13.5 hrs

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Volume/Census: 69 ICU patients per night

Case Mix: Acute stroke Acute head/Spine trauma Neurosurgery General neurology and some MICU overflow)

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 23 NeuroICU beds

Support Staff Available: Other NPs/PAs

Reason for Coverage: Temporary Supplemental Coverage

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Perform central line and arterial line placements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Connecticut Medical License

Experience:

Dedicated Neuro ICU experience

Expertise in acute stroke head/spine trauma neurosurgery and general critical care

Other Qualifications:

Ability to work independently in a critical care environment
