Adelphi is seeking a School Counselor to provide services to a school district in Hillsborough Florida (FL). The School Counselor will be responsible for coordinating and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program for the school district. The ideal candidate will have a Florida Department of Educationissued (FL DOEissued) School Counselor Certificate and a master s or higher degree with a graduate major in guidance and counseling or school counseling.

Requirements:
Option one:
A master s or higher degree with a graduate major in guidance and counseling or school counseling.
A minimum of 600 clock hours of supervised internship serving schoolaged students in a prekindergarten elementary or secondary school setting.
OR
Option two:
A master s or higher degree with a graduate major in counseling (other than guidance and counseling or school counseling).
The degree program must include at least 600 clock hours of supervised internship serving schoolaged children and their families.
At least 9 semester hours of graduate credit in the areas of: student appraisal and evaluation methods college and career planning comprehensive school counseling program and consultation skills and techniques.
AND
A FL DOEissued School Counselor Certificate.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program.
Address academic advisement personal and social development counseling and college/career readiness.
Lead advocate and collaborate to promote equity and access for all students by connecting their school counseling program to the school s academic mission and school improvement plan.
Deliver individual small group and large group counseling services to support appropriate skills for the students across developmental levels.
Interpret various data and assessment sources for the educational planning of students.
Other duties as assigned by the school districts administration.
