Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Architect to join our team for an innovative gated ecofriendly residential development project. The ideal candidate will have a a passion for creating designs that not only meet functional needs but also promote environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainable Design: Create innovative and sustainable building designs that align with our vision for an ecofriendly residential community.
- Feasibility Studies: Collaborate with our development team to conduct feasibility studies that assess the viability of architectural concepts.
- Site Analysis: Perform site analysis to determine the best layout and orientation for buildings ensuring optimal use of natural resources and minimal environmental impact.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all architectural designs comply with local zoning laws building codes and environmental regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers landscape architects and other consultants to integrate all aspects of the project.
- Client Engagement: Present design concepts to stakeholders and clients incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings specifications and other documentation required for project approval and construction.
- Sustainability Practices: Stay updated on the latest trends in sustainable building practices and materials and incorporate them into designs.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Portfolio: Demonstrated experience in designing residential projects with an emphasis on sustainability; a portfolio showcasing relevant work is required.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit SketchUp) and graphic presentation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals and stakeholders.
