Primary Roles and Responsibilities

Operational

● Work hand in hand with the technology strategy teams to better understand business needs that would require developing Systems and infrastructure solutions.

● Work closely with application development teams to forecast infrastructure needs and capacity planning.

● Provide support to the technology operations throughout the installation, configuration, and management of infrastructure.

● Contribute to the development of business continuity plan, disaster recovery plan, and risk items.

● Work closely with services providers to implement all system and infrastructure development activities and ensure its completion in an efficient and effective manner.

● Server’s O.S Installation on virtual or physical.

● Servers decommissioning for non-used or migrated servers.

● Troubleshooting and resolving Windows operating system related technical problems.

● Installing, configuring and managing system related software packages and third-party packages.

● Tuning systems, cleanup and resource management.

● "File Servers" Administration (including installation, managing users' shares and permissions, observing file

growth and troubleshooting user access problems).

● Configuring and managing Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, SCCM, Email Security, EMC Storage, DR, Anti-virus and VMware Virtualization.

● Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

● Communicate with users when needed

● Maintain complete technical documentation

Suggest improvements to system performance, capacity, and scalability

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or any other relevant field

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar role or function
System Installation and Configuration:
System Setup: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and software applications, ensuring that they are correctly integrated into the organization's existing IT infrastructure.
Software Installation: Install and configure software applications and operating systems based on user requirements and ensure compatibility with existing hardware and software.
Hardware Setup: Install and configure hardware components, including servers, workstations, storage devices, and peripherals, ensuring seamless communication and functionality.
System Maintenance and Monitoring:
System Monitoring: Regularly monitor systems and networks to ensure that all components are operating efficiently. This includes checking for performance issues, system downtime, and potential failures.
Performance Optimization: Perform routine system diagnostics and fine-tune systems to ensure they operate at optimal speeds. Address performance issues, such as slow processing or system crashes.
Security Updates: Apply software patches, security updates, and antivirus programs to ensure that systems are secure from vulnerabilities and external threats.
Backup and Recovery: Implement regular backup procedures to protect data and ensure the system can recover quickly in case of failure or disaster.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Troubleshooting Issues: Investigate and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network configurations. This includes resolving system crashes, application errors, and performance bottlenecks.
User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, helping them with system-related problems such as login issues, connectivity problems, or software malfunctions.
Technical Documentation: Maintain records of troubleshooting efforts, system configurations, and changes made to systems for future reference and compliance.
