Roles and responsibilities
1. Teaching Responsibilities:
- Advanced Course Instruction: Teach advanced-level courses in business administration, covering areas such as strategic management, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, finance, marketing, operations management, human resources, business ethics, leadership, international business, and business law.
- Curriculum Leadership and Development: Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of the business administration curriculum. Ensure that courses reflect the latest trends, research, and business practices. Maintain an up-to-date and rigorous academic standard.
- Graduate and Doctoral Supervision: Supervise and mentor Ph.D. students, master’s students, and other graduate-level students in their research, theses, and dissertations. Provide guidance on research methodology, writing, and career development.
- Innovative Teaching Methods: Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as case studies, experiential learning, simulations, and collaborative group work, to create an engaging and effective learning environment. Emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world applications.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Assess student performance through exams, assignments, projects, and presentations. Provide constructive feedback that helps students improve their academic and professional skills.
- Academic Advising: Advise undergraduate and graduate students on course selection, career goals, internships, and professional development within business disciplines.
2. Research Responsibilities:
- Conduct Original Research: Engage in high-level, impactful research in business administration, particularly in areas of specialization like strategic management, organizational behavior, marketing, entrepreneurship, corporate finance, leadership, or operations management.
- Publish in Prestigious Journals: Publish research papers in peer-reviewed academic journals, focusing on contributing to the body of knowledge in business administration. Present findings at national and international conferences and symposia.
- Research Collaboration: Collaborate with other faculty members within the department and with researchers from other disciplines (e.g., economics, psychology, engineering, or law) on interdisciplinary research projects.
- Research Funding: Seek external research funding through grants, research fellowships, or industry partnerships. Apply for financial support from government agencies, corporations, or philanthropic foundations to advance research in business administration.
- Mentoring Junior Researchers: Mentor junior faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral students in their research endeavors. Provide guidance on writing research papers, applying for grants, and navigating the academic publishing process.
3. Professional and Academic Leadership:
- Departmental Leadership: Contribute to the leadership and development of the business administration department by participating in department meetings, strategic planning, and decision-making processes. Take on leadership roles such as chairing committees, leading curriculum reviews, or organizing academic events.
Desired candidate profile
1. The applicant must be a Saudi national.
-2. The applicant must have obtained all his/her academic qualifications from Saudi universities or recognized universities.
-3. The applicant’s grade for the position of Assistant Professor must not be less than a very good grade in all academic stages. Applicants who obtained a good grade in the bachelor’s stage are exempted from this in cases of academic or research excellence.
-4. The applicant must attach the “equivalency certificate” issued by the Ministry of Education for the academic qualifications he/she obtained from non-Saudi universities.
-5 The study system for the applicant in all stages (bachelor's, master's, doctorate) must be full-time and full-time. The applicant must attach the scholarship or assignment decision if he is a government employee.
-6 There must be an extension of specialization between academic degrees (bachelor's, master's, doctorate).
-7 Attach the classification certificate from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (for applicants for health jobs).
-8 The applicant must provide the correct data matching the official documents and the required attachments during the application period.
-9 Attend and pass the personal interviews.
-10 The applicant must be medically fit.
