Job Description
General Summary
Under moderate supervision the Central Services Technician II is responsible for decontamination cleaning processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established infection control practices. Will take the lead on an O.R. service (Ortho Neuro General ENT etc.) Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Serves as a mentor to Central Services Technician and trainees. Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties. Participates in the departments performance improvement activities.

Reporting Relationships
Reports to Shift Supervisor Central Services. Functions under moderate supervision. May be assigned to serve as the Central Services Subject Matter Expert in an O.R. service (Neuro General ENT etc.) and will assist with flexible endoscope reprocessing.
Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalentrequired. 18 months experience as a Central ServicesTechnicianIandcertification from CBSPD or IAHCSMMrequired. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and supplies. Basic knowledge of computers and computer programs required.
