This Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman position will be based out of our shop at #Burnt Lake Crescent Red Deer AB. Travel and accommodation will not be provided to Red Deer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preventative maintenance on CEDA owned highway tractors and trailers (Peterbilt Kenworth) trailer mounted specialty pumper units
- Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines & after treatment. (Cummins CAT Mercedes)
- Hydraulic & PTO diagnostic and repair
- Clutches transmissions & differentials
- Commercial Vehicle Inspections
- Troubleshoot issues inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts
- Interpret work orders
- Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations.
Role Specifications:
- Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman required
- Valid Class 5 drivers license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
- Class 1 drivers license would be an asset
- Experience in hydraulic electrical and pump systems is an asset
- Able to provide a negative preemployment drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to provide your own tools
Skills:
- Youre meticulous you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs
- Good communication skills enjoy doing precision work and solving problems
- Your knowledge of Cummins CAT and Mercedes engines would be an asset
- Youre happiest working in a team sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely
