Job Description
CEDA is looking for B Pressure Rig Welders for our upcoming 2025 Shutdown in the Conklin AB area.
What we offer:
- Camp accommodations provided
- Day and night shifts working 12hr days
- $110.00 per hour with a $3.00 per hour nightshift premium
- Tentative start date: March 26 2025
- Project expected to wrap up midJune 2025
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair equipment in an efficient and timely manner
- Operate manual or semiautomatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as TIG and stick and shielded metal arc (SMAW)
- Weld metal parts as specified by layout or welding diagram (blue prints engineering drawings and weld specifications)
- Fabricate and assemble fixtures tooling shop aids and other devises as required for special projects
- Ensure quality of welds and rework as required
- Perform basic troubleshooting of weld machines and accessories as required
- Support safety and continuous improvement programs
- Maintain and support equipment records and repair history
- Provide data for cause and failure analysis
- Take part in planning and scheduling within work systems
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications:
- Journeyman Welder (Red Seal preferred)
- Must meet all contractor; corporate WCB and insurance requirements
- CWB Certification preferred
- BPressure Certification is an asset
- 2 years of related industry experience
- Strong understanding of production processes and welding equipment
- TIG welding experience
- Stick and Shielded Metal Arc experience (SMAW)
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to provide a negative preemployment drug and alcohol test
